Dewatering & Sewage Pumps

The PL Series of portable dewatering pumps are crucial for various applications, including sewer bypass pumping, flood relief, dewatering, high head, mining, and emergency situations. These pumps are designed with vacuum-assisted dri-prime centrifugal technology, which enables them to handle solids efficiently. Moreover, they are versatile enough to be powered by either a diesel engine or an electric motor, making them ideal for use in different settings.

Sewer Bypass Pumps

Using sewer bypass pumps during sewer line repairs is crucial for handling wastewater. The PL series diesel-driven dry prime pump provides a dependable and trustworthy temporary pump installation, designed for handling sewage (including trash) and available in sound-attenuated or skid-mounted options. They can also be supplied on pump trailers for added convenience, ensuring safe and efficient handling of your sewer bypass project.

High Capacity Flood Control Pumps

During heavy rainfall and potential flooding, a quick response is crucial. Penlucky Pumps offers diesel-powered, high-capacity flood control pumps from the PL series, specifically designed for these challenging circumstances. These mobile pumps can be mounted on trailers for an even faster solution, making them suitable for emergency or long-term flood control measures. With the PL series from Penlucky Pumps, you can rely on a reliable and efficient choice for flood control.

High Head and Mining Pumps

The PL series provides mobile high head pumping systems with pressures of up to 450 feet (195 psi), ideal for high-pressure applications. These vacuum-assisted pumps can be powered by either a diesel engine or an electric motor for flexible power sourcing. Designed to handle demanding tasks in industrial, municipal, or construction applications, the PL series pumps offer reliable high-pressure performance.

Dewatering & Sewage Pumps

The PL series of portable dewatering pumps is a crucial tool for handling sewer bypass pumping and flood relief, as well as in dewatering, high head, mining, and emergency applications. These vacuum-assisted dri-prime centrifugal pumps can be powered by either a diesel engine or an electric motor.

Additionally, the pumps feature dry priming technology, which incorporates an end-suction centrifugal pump with its own vacuum system, including a diaphragm pump, float box, and non-return valve. This design ensures efficient priming, making the PL series pumps an ideal choice for a wide range of applications.

How do vac assist dry prime pumps work?

The PL series pumps feature a vacuum pump that immediately starts priming upon engine start-up, creating a vacuum on the suction side through a non-return valve. This allows liquid to be quickly drawn in and fill the centrifugal pump, while a float valve in the float tank shuts off the diaphragm pump supply. With this efficient priming process, the PL series pumps can handle a variety of pumping applications quickly and reliably.

Vac Assisted Diaphragm Pumps – Key Points

  • The PL series centrifugal pumps have a special oil chamber for cooling the mechanical seal during dry suction, eliminating the need to fill the pump housing with water during start-up.

  • Although the pumps can run dry for up to 5 minutes during start-up, we advise against running them dry for longer to avoid damaging the mechanical seal.

  • For reliable and cost-effective pumping, a vacuum-assisted diaphragm pump is a great choice, with long-lasting diaphragms and valves, no oil leakage risks, and a maximum vacuum range of 27 feet.

  • The diaphragm pump is driven by a toothed belt, using minimal energy.

  • With a PL series dri-prime pump, the maximum flooded suction height is 7 feet. We recommend adding a valve in the hose between the float tank and the vacuum diaphragm pump to shut off the supply to the flooded suction.
